Happy Thanksgiving

We would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We are grateful to our customers who faithfully come shop here every year. We have some fun fall decorations and always have our framing. As the holidays approach we would like to remind everyone to start thinking about Christmas gifts. Remember framing does take some time. If you have a picture you want framed plan for it to take at least two weeks. This time of year needle works will take three to four weeks, and anything that may need a shadow box or to be sewn to a mat board will need to be brought in A.S.A.P. Be sure to bring in your coupon and enjoy your holiday!

Frames Squared

Not all pictures are rectangular. Some pictures are perfectly square, and square can be really fun to decorate with.

However, it is hard to find square frames to fit square pictures. Many customers end up custom framing there square pictures, which is a great option, but not everyone has the time to custom frame.

For quick fixes Bev's carries square frame sizes along with their rectangular. The sizes we carry are 5 x 5, 6 x 6, 8 x 8, 10 x 10, and 12 x 12.

Happy Halloween

Halloween is
coming up and it's time to pull out the spooky decorations! Bev's has a number of frightening, but cute ornaments to help with the festivities. Come on in, take a look, and have an enchanting Halloween!

More on Hanging

Begin experimenting with the arrangement on the floor and start in the center. Once you have the layout you want trace the shapes of your frames on Kraft paper or newspaper and tape to the wall. Measure from the top of your frame down to the wire. Mark this distance on your wall or paper before nailing. This mark will be where you place your nail, or bottom of your hook. Then nail in, hang your picture, and enjoy. -Kathryn

Hanging at Eye Level

When hanging your pictures remember pictures should be hung at eye level. So where is eye level? For the average height eye level is about 64”. But let's face it we are not all 5'8” tall. Hang the picture at your eye level. Take your height and subtract about 4” then hang the middle of your picture at this height. If your family height varies, for example my husband eye level is 73” and mine is 57”, choose a height in between both eye levels. -Kathryn
